The 5977 Series MSD is a stand-alone capillary GC detector for use with an Agilent Series Gas Chromatograph. 5977 Series MSDs are equipped with a diffusion pump, and a choice of three foreline pumps. In addition, there are two types of analyzers (stainless steel or inert) and four types of ion sources. The MSD features:

Local control panel (LCP) for locally monitoring and operating the MSD
One of two different high vacuum pumps
One of three different foreline pumps
Three different types of independently MSD heated electron-ionization (EI) sources available: standard (stainless), inert, and extraction

Agilent 7890A GC System

The Agilent 7890 (G3440A/G3440B) is a state-of-the-art gas chromatograph that provides superior performance for all applications. Key to its performance is the use of advanced electronic pneumatic control (EPC) modules and high performance GC oven temperature control. Each EPC unit is optimized for its intended use with a specific inlet and detector option.

Features:

GC oven temperature control of the 7890A oven allows for fast and precise temperature ramping. Overall thermal performance provides optimal chromatography including peak symmetry, retention time repeatability, and retention index accuracy.
The combination of precise pneumatic and temperature control leads to extremely precise retention time reproducibility, which is the basis for all chromatographic measurement.
Agilent’s proprietary Capillary Flow Technology provides a new dimension in chromatography with reliable, leak free, in-oven capillary connections that stand up to repeated GC oven cycling over time.
The 7890A GC has enhanced firmware to extend Capillary Flow capabilities and enhanced data system software to simplify set-up and operation of back flush.
These new tools make it easier to analyze complex matrices and unknowns, and provide gains in productivity and data integrity for routine analyses via 2-dimensional heart cutting, detector splitting, and column back flushing. The 7890A GC has advanced built-in capabilities to monitor system resources (counters, electronic logs and diagnostics). The Agilent 7693A ALS (Automatic Liquid Sampler) provides reliable, fast, and precise injections for Agilent GC and GC/MS systems. The modular design allows this autosampler to grow with your lab. Start with a tower and 16 vials. Expand to the 150 vial tray. Upgrade to the heater, mixer barcode reader module. Add a second tower for dual simultaneous injections.

If there is ever anything wrong with the equipment, we will replace it. Warranty begins from the date your equipment is successfully delivered. Any issues that occur during warranty should be reported immediately, describing the issues in as much detail as possible. Do not attempt to repair the equipment or involve a 3rd party without our express permission – this will result in voiding our warranty.

Installation and Training

If you purchase equipment from Spectralab Scientific, we offer installation and familiarization by our service technicians for an additional fee. If the instrument is particularly complicated, we highly recommend this service.
