Hitachi’s L-2400 UV Detector utilizes advanced optics and active electronics to provide a new level of performance for UV detection. A variety of optional flow cells (pre-aligned and accessible from the front of the instrument) allow the user to easily switch from micro-bore to conventional or high throughput applications. Active noise filters with a wide range of response times afford superior signal-to-noise while maintaining peak shape in high flow rate applications. Automatic wavelength calibration and documentation within Empower 2 facilitate compliance with government regulations for system suitability.

Hitachi L-2300 Column Oven

Hitachi’s L-2300 Column Oven incorporates new technology that provides superior temperature stability and reduces thermal gradients resulting in greatly enhanced performance. Peltier heating and cooling allow short equilibration times. In addition, solvent is preheated prior to reaching the column which results in stable temperature inside the column. System connectivity ensures that sample injections are made only when temperature has been reached. Front-panel access makes it easy to install up to 3 HPLC columns. Room and oven temperatures can be monitored, and documentation of temperature throughout the analysis is maintained. Full control by Empower 2 is available.

Hitachi L-2130 Pump

Hitachi’s LaChrom Elite Pumps set new standards for flexibility, accuracy, and reliability in both isocratic and gradient modes of operation. The L-2130 High Throughput (HTA) Pump delivers highly reproducible results and is compatible with conventional HPLC applications. Optional binary high-pressure or quaternary low-pressure gradient/solvent mixing is available. Optimal flow rate range is 0.2 – 5.0 mL/min (0.01 – 9.999 mL/min possible), and a built-in leak sensor is standard. All routine maintenance parts are accessible from the front panel for easy maintenance, and full control by Empower 2 is available.

Hitachi L-2485 FL Detector

  • Outstanding sensitivity with an S/N ratio at 900 or higher for Raman spectra of water
    • Model L-2485 Fluorescence Detector is an optical system with a reduced loss of light achieved by the integration of Hitachi’s advanced technologies, such as 3-D optical axial arrangement design, innovative converging mirror, slit flow cell, and optimized monitoring system of transmitted light.
      The improved flow cell has been newly added to achieve a signal-to-noise ratio at 900 or higher for Raman spectra of water (with the baseline method).
  • Use of a switchable slit
    • The fluorescence spectroscopic slit of the L-2485 can be switched between 15 nm and 30 nm. Use the 30-nm slit for high-sensitivity data analysis.
  • Automatic wavelength check
    • The emission beam of a built-in Hg lamp is used to perform an automatic check of wavelengths at 254 nm, which is most frequently used for HPLC analysis.
  • Easy front-access maintenance
    • Maintenance is easy. You can load the flow cell and adjust the position of the Xe lamp all from the front side of the instrument.

Hitachi L-2200 Autosampler

  • Direct injection for trace samples and fast measurements
    • The direct injection method is employed in which the sampling needle forms a part of the flow path at the time of sample injection. Since the amount of sample sucked in the needle can be introduced intact into the flow path, the minimum required volume of sample is as small as 7 L, which is particularly advantageous for measurements of rare samples in trace amounts. Unlike the conventional design of sample loop introduction, the direct injection provides a simple injection step. This reduces the cycle of injection to 1/2 in comparison with the conventional method, realizing higher-speed measurement for analyses of multiple samples.
  • Reduction in carryover
    • The outside of the needle is washed before and after sample injection, thereby minimizing the degree of carryover.
  • High-accuracy analyses owing to enhancement in reproducibility
    • A high-performance motor is employed for driving the syringe used for sample volume measurement. This enhances the reproducibility of sample injection volume. Moreover, the timing of sample injection is synchronized with that of pump drive for improvement in reproducibility of peak retention time. This feature ensures high reliability in analytical result data.
  • Sample vial detection for safety during analyses
    • A sample vial detecting function is equipped so that air will not be introduced from a vacant sample position. This provides high reliability in autosampler operation.
  • Various racks available for multiple-sample analyses
    • The standard rack can accommodate up to 200 1.5mL vials, and up to three micro plates (382 holes) can be mounted to enable measurements of up to 1152 samples at a time (option).
