The SpectraMax® M3 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader is a dual-monochromator, multi-detection instrument featuring a triple-mode cuvette port and 6- to 384-well plate reading capability. Its high sensitivity and flexibility make it ideal for applications in biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, and microbiology, including ELISA, nucleic acid and protein assays, enzymatic assays, microbial growth, endotoxin testing, and pipettor calibration.
A high-power xenon flash lamp and dual holographic monochromators allow independent optimization of excitation and emission wavelengths for fluorescence intensity measurements. Advanced optics and cutoff filters minimize stray light and background interference, while adjustable lamp flashes balance sensitivity and speed. The system delivers a fluorescence detection range from 10⁻⁶ to 10⁻¹² M fluorescein and a photometric range of 0–4 OD with 0.001 OD resolution.
Dual monochromators enable absorbance measurements from 200–1000 nm and fluorescence excitation from 250–850 nm, ensuring precise and reliable performance across a wide range of assays.
